Pretend Play

When your child engages in pretend play they are building essential skills in many areas of development. They are making sense of their world and the contexts within which they live.

Pretend play enhances vocabulary and verbal expression and shows children the power of language. When your child engages in pretend play they are experimenting with the social roles in society and with walking in someone else's shoes which helps develop empathy.

Cooperative play with another child will give plenty of opportunities for negotiation and problem solving.

Pretend play gives your child the freedom to let their imagination run wild!
