Join Clementine and friends for a family-friendly concert on the Great Lawn at VanDusen Botanical Garden on Saturday, September 9 from 10am to 12pm, presented by Chorus & Clouds. Clementine is all about family and embodies family bonding through the love of music. Whole-hearted lyrics and carefree fun will have you tapping your feet and singing along!
Enjoy a full set of family-centred folk music and art activities on the Great Lawn followed by a stroll through the 55-acre botanical garden. Savour tasty treats from the Garden Café, Bistrot Van, Jack and the Bean Coffee Company, and Berry Mobile! Outside food and drinks are also welcome.
Inspired by the natural surroundings, birds chirping, and leaves rustling, children and their adults will have access to a variety of materials that will allow them to exercise creative freedom. The art atelier space will consist of drawing, creating and collaging through visual inspirations from the surrounding garden landscapes. Children and families together will have the opportunity to create textured collages and construct large hanging sculptures.

Chorus & Clouds is not just about class time. It is about what we all take away. How we feel when we sing together, how a song can make a child smile or soothe them during tough times. The list of benefits acquired from singing and music making is extensive. We may not see it right away, but if we pay attention, we will soon discover how important a role music plays in a child's development.
